Luis Villacorta
Luis Villacorta, an architect who earned a degree from the Peruvian University of Engineering in Lima in 1985. With a particular interest in urban development and heritage conservation, Lucho is an active speaker and writer who has been invited to give talks at universities in Spain, Italy, and the United States. He has published articles on various topics in architecture in Peru, including Spanish colonial religious and secular architecture, pre-Columbian architecture, among others in “El Comercio,” Peru’s leading newspaper. Additionally, Luchocollaborates with the Getty Conservation Institute to investigate the preservation of historical buildings in Peru using modern technology and traditional materials.
