Located at 45 minutes from Puerto Maldonado by motorboat; this lodge offers the best accommodation facilities in the South eastern Rainforest of Peru. Reserva Amazonica is a comfortable way to visit the rainforest but due to its location near Puerto Maldonado does not offer good wildlife viewings. It may be appropriate for families with small children, for visitors prioritising creature comforts and for a quick and easy rainforest experience.

The lodge has 34 private cabañas (5 of which are suites) with ceiling fans and 24 hour hot water. Electricity is available to recharge batteries and in the main pavilion only; in the rooms, kerosene lanterns are used.

Lounge and activity (eco) centre, restaurant, lecture rooms and a 30 meter high canopy walkway spanning over seven bridges.

There is also a Massage Hut overlooking the river.
